CAYUGA — Virgil Larry Lamb, 62, Cayuga, died at 12:05 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2002 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born Jan. 22, 1940 in Clinton, the son of Virgil Leroy and Betty Jane Kinderman Lamb. He married Rhoda Hershberger Dec. 19, 1959 in Sterling. She survives. He was employed at the Hamilton Center in Terre Haute. He enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, woodworking and raising flowers in his greenhouse. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, Greg (Jenny) Lamb. Hillsboro and Melvin (Loretta) Lamb, Veedersburg; his mother, Betty Jane Delp, Cayuga; two granddaughters, Nicole Lamb, Hillsboro and Cassandra Lamb, Veedersburg; two grandsons, Samuel Lamb, Veedersburg and Bill Davis, Hillsboro; a great-grandson, Cody Davis, Attica; a brother, Randy (Ann) Lamb, Cayuga; and a sister, Brenda (Stan) Smith, Williamsport. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Joyce Moffett. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, with the Revs. Richard Wright and Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery, Newport. – jlr
