LAMB, Lawrence "Steve"

Veedersburg—Lawrence A. “Steve” Lamb, 78, Route 4, Veedersburg, died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1989 at his home.
  He was born Jan. 1, 1911 in Vermilion County, Ill., the son of John D. and Myrtle B. Frysinger Lamb. He was married March 20, 1935 in Danville, Ill., to Geneva E. Peak, who survives.
  He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. He had farmed. He was a member of Community Bible Baptist Church.
  Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Dolores Ruiz, Phoenix, Ariz.; Karen Taylor, Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Lamb, Veedersburg; five brothers, James, Hernando, Fla.; Daniel and Robert, Dequincy, La.; Estol, Rock Hill, S. C. and Paul, St. Petersburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Community Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. David Frazier officiating. Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Danville, Ill.
