LaBAW, Samantha Romine - L-Obituaries

The following account of the death of Mrs. Samantha J. LaBaw, a former resident of Veedersburg, is taken from a Pomona, California newspaper of the issue of June 4: Mrs. Samantha Jane Labaw age 77 passed away at the family home, 1084 W. 4th Street Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. LaBaw was born in the state of Indiana Jan 10, 1854 and has been a resident of Pomona for the last 18 years coming here from Veedersburg, Indiana. Mrs. LaBaw is survived by two sons, BB LaBaw, Chino and Elmer LaBaw, Veedersburg, indiana; 5 daughters, Mrs. Ethel Crowell, Pomona, Edna LaBaw, Los Angeles; Martha LaBaw at home; Mrs. Helen Snedaker, San Bernardino and Mrs. Myrtle Newman, Covington, Indiana. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Eva Burtnett, Terra Bella, Calif and one brother, WF Romine, Chino. Funeral services will be held in Todd & Reeves Chapel Saturday at 10 a.m.
