LaBAW, Oakie - L-Obituaries

Oakie LaBaw, 97, Danville, Illinois, died at 8 a.m. Friday, December 2, at Danville Care Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past seven years.

  Born June 12, 1886 in Mellott, she was the daughter of Samson and Rachel Ann Furr Strader. She was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church.

  Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Hazel Shaw of Danville and Mrs. Barbara LaBaw of DeKalb, Illinois; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by four sons, a grandchild, two brothers and five sisters.

  Services were conducted Monday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel in Danville with Rev. William Malloy officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. – thanks to S
