LaBAW, Millie - L-Obituaries

Mrs. Millie LaBaw, wife of Simon LaBaw died at her home in Shawnee Township, Fountain County Monday at 1 p.m. She had been afflicted with lung trouble for the past year and her death had been expected for some time.  She was born at Gettysburg, PA and was a young woman when the great battle was fought.  Since her marriage to Mr. LaBaw just after the war had her residence in Fountain County she had become one of its best loved ladies and her death is felt as a personal loss by everyone who knew her well.  The funeral will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday morning at Newcastle Church and interment will be made in the Brown Cemetery adjoining the LaBaw farm and in plain sight of the home where she had lived all her married life.  --- transcribed by  kbz
