George Kunkle, 75 of Stone Bluff died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday Dec 15, 1957 at his home. He had been ill six months with heart ailment. Mr. Kunkle was born in Dayton, Ohio Oct 8, 1882 son of William and Sarah Kunkle. A retired farmer, he had resided in the Stone Bluff area 69 years. He was a member of Danville Lodge 1001 Loyal Order of Moose. On Oct 22, 1907, he was married to the former Minnie Morrison who survives. They observed their Golden wedding anniversary recently. Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Lillie Hancock of Stone Bluff and Mrs. Bell Patterson of Yeddo. A brother Garfield preceded in death in July 1957. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Stone Bluff EUB Church with the Rev. Harvey Jones officiating. Burial was in Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Fishero Funeral Home of Veedersburg was in charge. – kbz
