KUNKEL, Augustine - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Augustine Kunkel of Brazil, age 79, died at Clay County Health Center on Sunday, May 10. She was the daughter of Prosper and Josephine Burton Julbert, born in Brazil, April 8, 1902. In 1921, she married Ray Kunkel, who died December 12, 1955. A member of the Church of the Nazarene and Order of the Eastern Star, she was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary.

  Survivors include two sons, Amos Kunkel of RR 1, Carbon, and Ray Kunkel of Indianapolis; five sisters, Florence Hayward and Virginia Ringo, both of Staunton, Josephine Dunham of Edgewater, Florida; Viola Lindley of Kingman and Iona Matherly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two brothers, Alex Julbert of Brazil and Luther Julbert of Center Point; ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Rev. Mel Sorenson officiating. Burial was in Summit Lawn Cemetery at Brazil. – thanks to S
