Hillsboro- Mrs. Stella E. Krug, 87, Hillsboro, died in Culver Hospital at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Krug had been admitted to the hospital Sunday following a fall at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Casper Cooper of Tab, Ind. She had suffered a broken hip and shoulder in the fall. Mrs. Krug had been the oldest living member of the Hillsboro Christian Church. She had joined the church in 1889 at the age of 13. She was also a 50-year member of the Fern Chapter of the Hillsboro Order of Eastern Star, 194. Born in Fountain County on July 29, 1876, Mrs. Krug was the daughter of George W. and Martha Linville Berry. In February 1894, she had married John C. Krug. He died in 1940. Mrs. Krug was also preceded in death by two sons, Paul Morris and William Russell, and a brother, James Berry. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Mabel Tague of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frances Parks of Menlo Park, Calif.; a son, Herbert of Hillsboro; a brother, Edward Lee Berry of Columbus, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Ross Kirk of the Hillsboro Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.

Stella E. Krug, 87, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where she was entered as a patient on Sunday morning after breaking a hip at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Casper Cooper at Tab, Ind.
She was born in Fountain County on July 29, 1876, daughter of George W. and Martha Linville Berry.  She was married to John C. Krug Feb. 14, 1894.  They operated a dry goods store in Hillsboro for a number of years.  After her retirement from the store she made her home with her son, Herbert Krug in Hillsboro, and with her daughter, Mrs. Cooper at Tab, Mr. Krug died in August, 1940.
She was the oldest living member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and was a 50 year member of Fern Chapter, OES, Hillsboro.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Georgie Cooper of Tab, Mrs. Mabel Tague of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Frances Parks of Menlo Park, Calif., one son, Herbert Krug of Hillsboro, one brother, Edward Lee Barry of Columbus Indiana.  Ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at -the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, with Rev. Ross Kirk of Hillsboro officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening.
