Newtown -- Mrs. Josephine Pearl Krug, 86, died at 5:15 a. m. Thursday at Home Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Cain Township, Fountain County Jan 19, 1880, a daughter of Simon and Susan Shade. She married Palmer Krug in 1901. Mr. Krug died Dec 27, 1954. Also preceding her in death were a son, Kermit in 1955, two sisters and two brothers. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Krug had lived in the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irene Krug who is Fountain County auditor. Mrs. Krug had lived in Newtown for over 50 years and was a member of the United Church of Christ at Mellott. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Stuart French of Indianapolis; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p. m. Saturday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro wtih Rev. Peter Heemstra officiatng. Burial in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home in Hillsboro after 2 p. m. today!

Mrs. Josephine Pearl Krug, age 86, of Newtown, died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Home Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born in Cain Township, Fountain County, Jan. 19, 1880, the daughter of Simon and Susan Shade. She married Palmer Krug in 1901 and he preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1954.
Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Krug had lived in the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irene Krug, who is Fountain County auditor.  She had lived in Newtown for over 50 years and was a member of the United Church of Christ at Mellott.
Mrs. Krug is survived by: one sister, Mrs. Stuart French of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, and three great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Kermit in 1955, two sisters and two 'brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  The Rev. Peter Heemstra officiated and burial was in the Newtown Cemetery.
