LAFAYETTE — Laura Belle Krout,
83, Lafayette, died at 2:18 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2000 in St. Elizabeth
Medical Center, Lafayette. She was born Sept. 14, 1916 in Attica, the daughter
of James and Elizabeth Floyd Collins. She was a graduate of Winthrop High
School. She was a native of the Attica area and had been a resident of the
Lafayette area since 1956. She was employed at Duncan Hall in Lafayette for 20
years. She was a member of the Attica First Assembly of God and Women of the
Moose Chapter 23 in Attica. She enjoyed going on church trips, playing bingo
and watching television. Survivors include: a daughter, Sharon Willig,
Lafayette; a grandson, Phil Willig Jr., Goodland, Kan.; and several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents, five brothers, two sisters,
and a grandchild. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maus Funeral Home,
Attica, with the Rev. Jim Carr, Freemont, Calif., officiating. Burial was in
Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – jlr
