Covington—Dale Leon Krout, 64, Covington, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 1989 at Covington Manor Health Care Center, Covington, where he had been a patient since 1981.
He was born May 27, 1924 in Alamo, the son of Ivan and Nora Stephens Krout. He was married July 19, 1946 to Katherine Louise Weaver, who preceded him in death Sept. 15, 1962. He later married Virginia Payton.
He had been a resident of Veedersburg and Covington most of his life. He was a laborer on the State Highway Department four years and also worked on the Covington Street Department 12 years and for the Kokomo Sanitation Department for a few years.
He attended Maranatha Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Kathy Dale) Fulkerson, Williams, Ind.; two grandchildren, Brandon and April Fulkerson; three brothers, Lyle of Oregon; Clarence, Covington, and Keith, Veedersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Booe, Veedersburg; Mrs. Merle (Judy) Dotson, Attica, and Betty Baldwin, Williamsport. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Henry Stidham officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. – thanks to s
