Alamo, May 1 – Mrs. Alice KROUT, resident of this place for the past 12 years, passed away at her home here at 11 o’clock this morning, following an illness of 4 months. Death was caused by complications. Mrs. Krout was born near Alamo July 22, 1865, the daughter of John and Sarah Ham Harrison. She was united in matrimony on July 28, 1884, to Robert Krout, who survives her. She was a member of the Lutheran Church near Wallace. Besides the husband, the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Payton of Alamo; four sons: Homer of near Wallace; Ora E., Crawfordsville and Jesse and Virgil L. of near Alamo; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Orpheus Baleu of Alamo and brother, Everett Harrison, Crawfordsville. Last rites for the dead woman will be conducted from the Alamo Methodist Church at 3 Sunday afternoon with Rev. Donaldson of Frankfort officiating. Interment will be at Alamo Cemetery. The Body will lie in state at the church from 2 until 3 Sunday afternoon and friends may pay their respects at that time.
