Danville, Ill. - Fred J. Kramer, age 66, of 1201 North Gilbert St., was dead on arrival at 2:30 pm Sunday, July 28, at St. Elizabeth Hospital here after being stricken ill at his cabin on the Wabash River, in the Portland Arch area, north of Covington. He was born Sept. 17, 1901, in Danville, the son of Lawrence and Katherine Dietz Kramer. He was married June 28, 1926 in Covington to Helen Coombs, who survives. He was a life resident of Danville and a Standard Oil dealer until retiring in January of 1966. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Mary Kay Strebing of Danville; one son, John R. Kramer, also of Danville; one half-sister, Mrs. Louise Vits of Assumption, Ill.; one half-brother, Frank Bott of Danville; three brothers, Bill and Carl Kramer of Lake Wales, Fla., and Vinson Kramer of Marion, Ind.; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 am today, July 31, at the St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Frank Faulstich officiated and burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Danville. --- typed by Barbara B
