KOONTZ, Ruth Butler - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Ruth Koontz of Danville, Illinois, age 90, died Saturday morning, May 2, in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville, Indiana. She was born in Princeville, Illinois, November 25, 1890, the daughter of Samuel and Susie Graham Butler. Her husband, Calvin Koontz, died in 1950. She was employed in the past as a cashier at Central Foundry Division of General Motors.

  Survivors include a son, Loraine B. of Pittsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Oteham of Covington and Mrs. Orville Phillips of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois, with Rev. William Molloy officiating. Burial was in Songer Cemetery at Tilton, Illinois. – thanks to S
