Mrs. Josephine Louise Koonse, 39, a life resident of Covington died Thursday in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where she had been a patient one day. She had been ill several months. She was born Feb 10, 1919 in Covington daughter of Robert and Eva Maines Ellis. On Sept 26, 1935 she was married to Lewis A Koonse who survives. Also surviving are 8 sons and daughters: Mrs. Lucille Meeker and Mrs. Barney McKinney both of Veedersburg; and Robert, Lewis, Clyde, Mary Lee, Diane Lynn, Karen Marie and Dusty Lane all at home and two grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Ray officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – kbz
