Services for William R. Kochell, 84, of 7 S. Bowman, who died Friday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Leibach, 1414 N. Logan, will be at 1:30 pm Monday at Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home. Frank C. Brown will officiate, with burial in Newtown, Ind. Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm today. - typed by Barbara B.

Newtown – Funeral services for William R. Kochell, age 84, of Danville, Ill., a former resident of Newtown, who died Friday night, Aug. 6, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Leibach, where held at 1:30 pm Monday at the Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Frank C. Brown officiated and burial was in the Newtown Cemetery. Mr. Kochell was born Jan. 27, 1881, the son of Henry and Drusilla Kochell. He was married Nov. 24, 1919, to Grace Pearl Pogue, who preceded him in death in 1950. He was a retired meat cutter and previously had farmed in Western Indiana before moving to Danville in 1921. He was a member of the old Newtown band in the early 1900’s and a member of the Central Christian Church of Danville. Survivors include: the daughter, Mrs. Leibach; one son, Wayne, also of Danville and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 10 sisters and one brother. - typed by Barbara B
