Veedersburg - William F. Knowles, 69, who resided north of Veedersburg on US 41, died at 11 p.m. Monday at Community Hospital in Williamsport. Born June 29 1895 in Fountain County, Mr. Knowles was the son of Albert and Lois Fink Knowles. He married Elizabeth Cline Nov 7 1917. The deceased had been a farmer but in recent years had been employed by the Fountain Co and Indiana State Highway Departments. Surviving in addition to the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Booe of Veedersburg and Mrs. Marjorie Clark of Indianapolis; two brothers, Harry Knowles of Attica and Albert Knowles in Newtown; two sisters Mrs. Eva Connor of Mellott and Mrs. Vera Miller of Veedersburg; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sever Mortuary in charge of Rev. Conley Rowland. Burial in Christian Union Cemetery.

William F. Knowles 69 died at 11:25 p.m. Monday in the Community Hospital in Williamsport after being stricken several hours earlier at his home in Stone Bluff. He had lived in Fountain County early all of his life. He was born June 29 1895 in shawnee twonship the s/o Albert and Lois Fink Knowles. He was married to Elizabeth Cline on Nob 1917, in the Newtown Presbyterian Church. Survivors include the widow, two daughters Mrs. Lillie Booe of Veedersburg and Mrs. Marjorie Clark of Indianapolis, two brothers Harry of Attica Rt 2, and Albert of Newtown, two sisters Mrs Eva Connor of Mellott, and Mrs. Vera Miller of Veedersburg, six grandchildren and one grt grandchild. Mr. Knowles had been a farmer had been in business in Stonebluff and had been employed by State and County highway departments. Funeral services were set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday Nov 26 in the Sever Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Conley Rowland of Stone Bluff. Burial took place in Union Christain Cemetery.
