  Mary Blanche Knowles of Attica, age 72, died Tuesday morning, September 13, in Meadow Heights Nursing Center at Williamsport. She was born near Odell, July 13, 1911, the daughter of Leo and Mary Smith Snouwaert. August 11, 1951, she married Harry C. Knowles, who died July 18, 1971. Mrs. Knowles was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and worked as a clerk in the Bonton and Vogue store at Attica for a number of years.

  Surviving are three sisters, Martha Pearl of Attica, Minnie Snouwaert of RR 2, Attica, and Helen Fox of Williamsport; and five brothers, Amiel Snouwaert of Attica, Leslie of RR 2, Attica, Robert of West Point, George of Oxford and Emerson of Monon.

  The rosary was recited Thursday morning at St. Francis Xavier Church followed by funeral mass with Rev. Edward Matuszak officiating. Burial was in Union Christian Cemetery at Aylesworth. Maus Funeral Home in Attica was in charge of arrangements.-s-
