James D. Knowles, a pioneer citizen of Warren county, died last Thrusday at the home of Steven Watkins near Green Hill, aged 91 years, 2 months and 21 days. The decendent was born in Ross county, Ohio, Oct. 30, 1821, and moved to Warren county when a young man. He was married to Rebecca German August 29, 1842, who died a number of years ago. There survive him the following children: Alex Knowles of Otterbein, Epharim Knowles of Pine Village, Thomas Knowles of Green Hill, Mrs. Jane Gooden of Elston and Mrs. Clarissa Delaney of Morocco. The funeral was conducted Saturday (1-16-1913 / 1915?) and interment was made in the Armstrong Cemetery.
