August Knoth for many years a resident and business man of Rileysburg, died at his home in that place Thursday, after a lingering illness aged 60 years 4 months 25 days. The funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon in the Court of Honor Hall at Rileysburg, conducted by Rev. Carnes of Danville, Ill; interment following in the Atherton cemetery. Mr. Knoth was a highly respected citizen of the Holton lumber interests there for years. He was united in marriage several years ago to Miss Prather of that community and is survived by the wife and a daughter, now Mrs. Oscar Caruthers with other relatives who mourn the loss of a good husband and a kind father and splendid citizen. A very large crowd attended the last sad rights. – kbz
