Covington – Albert Knecht, 64, was found dead at 7 a.m. Sunday at his home on Third Street. He had been ill several years of a heart ailment. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley Funeral Home where the body was taken at 1 p.m. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. Knecht was born June 12, 1881 in southern Illinois, son of Joseph and Sarah Duke Knecht. He was employed for a number of years at Harrison Steel Castings, Attica. Surviving are the widow, Mrs Viola Knecht; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Brown, Runluma, Mich and Mrs Harry Fields, Covington and one son, Robert, Covington, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. – kbz
