Covington—Charles M. Kline, son of Frank A. Kline and Eliza Coffing Kline, was born in Bernville, Pennsylvania, March 4, 1922 and died November 3, 1944 in the Philippine Islands and was buried in Palo Cemetery. He entered the service October 22, 1942 and served with Co. J., 90th Infantry.
The body arrived in Covington Saturday, April 23 at 11:06 and was taken immediately to the Frank A. Kline residence, south of Covington. Funeral services were held Monday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Union Church in Wingate with the Rev. Homer J. Hunsinger of Wingate officiating. Burial will be in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery, west of Stone Bluff. The American Legion Post of Wingate was in charge of military services at the graveside. Crumley and Sons were in charge of arrangements.
