KLAGE, Oveta Laird - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Oveta Klage of Covington, age 78, died Monday morning, January 3, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Cain Township, Fountain County, August 9, 1904, the daughter of Edward and Eva Furr Laird. January 16, 1926, she married Louis Klage, who survives. Mrs. Klage was a member of the First Church of Christ, Builders Sunday School Class and Troy Democratic Women’s Club. A 1922 graduate of Hillsboro High School, she was a charter member of Rural Troy Home Economics Club.

  Also surviving are a son, Richard of RR 3, Covington; a sister, Dollie Grubb of Covington; a brother, Herschel Laird of Indianapolis; a granddaughter and a great grandson.

  The body was taken from Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington to the First Church of Christ for funeral services this afternoon (Thursday). Rev. Robert Hentrich officiated, assisted by Paul Kent, and burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington.
