Mrs. Thelma Evelyn Kiser, 33, died early Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, following the birth of a daughter on the preceding Saturday Feb 24. Mrs. Kiser, well known in Veedersburg, had been
critically ill for several days following a caesarean operation but her condition was believed to be much improved until the day before death. She was born April 1, 1911 at Duncan, Oklahoma, the daughter of Oscar and Dacia Wise McManomy. She married 1929 to Lowell Kiser of Veedersburg. Survivors besides the parents and husband include the infant daughter, Karen Ann, an older daughter, Doris Katherine; six sisters: Mrs. Maude Taylor and Mrs. Clara Moore, Duncan, Okla; Mrs. Pearl Galloway, Danville, Ill; Mrs. Marian Weiggle of Attica; and Mrs. Mable Smith and Mrs. Bernice Huxton both of Veedersburg; three brothers, Earl McManony of Hlllsboro; Carl McManomy of Duncan, Oklahoma and Gladius of Veedersburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Veedersburg Christian Church with Rev. Charles Howard and the Rev. JC Shrigley in charge. Burial at Rockfield Cemetery. --- transcribed by kbz
