Roy Kirby, given his honorable discharge from the US Army last fall after having been in the service since June 1941 and overseas for 10 months was seriously injured Friday in an automobile accident in Hammond
and died Saturday in a hospital in Hammond. The son of Joseph and Clara Kirby, Mr. Kirby was born in Covington 32 years ago. Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife and five sisters: Mrs. Virgie Murray, Mrs. Hazel
Proctor, Mrs. Eva Stout and Mrs. Cecil Taylor, all of Covington and Mrs. Ethel Nugent of Urbana, Ill. The body arrived in Champaign, Ill Monday morning and was brought to the Crumley Chapel at 7 o'clock Tuesday
