Ruth Wilma
(Waidelich) Kinney, 86, Attica, died in Provena United Samaritan Medical
Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill., on Tuesday, April 11, 2000 at 12:53 p.m.
Born in Danville, Ill. on May 18, 1913, she was the daughter of the late
William E. Waidelich and Mamie (Anderson) Waidelich Roland. She was raised in
Danville and graduated from Danville High School. She had been a resident of
Attica since 1944. She formerly worked as a bookkeeper for F. F. DeSutter Loan
Co. in Attica. She was a member of Attica Christian Church and enjoyed square
dancing. Her marriage was to Franklin C. Kinney on August 23, 1936 in
Springfield, Ill. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1982. Surviving, are:
a son, William “Bill” Alfred Kinney, Highland; a sister, Mabel Todd of
Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was
also preceded in death by two stepbrothers, Robert nd Paul Roland. Visitation
from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Service there on Saturday
at 11 a.m. with Rev. Loren Hetrick officiating. – jlr
