William Kinneer, 86, of Middletown, died Jan. 18, at 10 a.m., in Burlington hospital. Kinneer had been hospitalized for nine days. The son of Isaac and Mary Van Lear Kinneer, he was born at Veedersburg, Ind., on June 14, 1866, and was married at Veedersburg to Hartie Ellingwood on Jan. 8, 1900. In 1905 they moved to a farm two miles west of Mount Pleasant, where they lived until 15 years ago, when they retired and settled in Middletown. Kinneer was a member of the Middletown Christian church. The widow survives, as do three sons and two daughters: Edgar Kinneer, Staten Island, New York City; Clifford Kinneer, Riverside; William Kinneer and Mrs. Edith Wehrle, both of Middletown, and Mrs. Helen Forsberg, of Davenport. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two sons, Isaac and Everett Kinneer, died previously, as did two brothers and a sister. Last rites will be held at the Elliott Chapel, in New London, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Malcom Ludy, pastor of the Middletown Presbyterian church, will officiate, and burial will be in the Middletown cemetery.

New London - Last rites for 86-year-old William Kinneer of Middletown, who died Sunday morning in Burlington hospital, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Elliott Chapel. The Rev. Malcolm Ludy, pastor of the Middletown Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in the Middletown cemetery.
