Ruby Lucille (Miller) Kingen, 93, Lafayette, had been residing at St. Mary Healthcare Center, Lafayette, died Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at 5 a.m. in the healthcare center. Born in Covington on July 19, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Charles Leslie and Emma (Martin) Miller. She was raised and educated in Attica and had resided in Lafayette since 1952. She had been a resident of St. Mary Healthcare Center since 1996. A homemaker, she worked at Nathan’s Pants factory and Cabinet Craft in Attica. She had worked at ALCOA in Lafayette from 1943-45. She was a former member of Attica First United Methodist Church. Her marriage was to Earl Warren “Red” Kingen on October 15, 1929 in Attica. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1988. Surviving, are: a niece, Willena Schlueter; great-nephew, Garrett Schlueter, and great-niece, Adele (zvi) Zuekerman, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; friends, Robert and Vera VanHook of Lafayette. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Visitation at 12 noon Saturday prior to service at 1 p.m. with Rev. G. Scott Pattison officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. – jlr
