Mrs. Lena Faye King, 71, of 3722 Plum St., Terre Haute, died at St. Anthony Hospital in Terre Haute 4:05 p.m. Thursday, after being a patient there since last Friday.  She had been in failing health for one year.

She was born at Independance on Jan. 23, 1899, the daughter of William Burr and Rose Mathias King.  She had moved from the Attica area 35 years ago and lived in Terre Haute the Past five years.  Her first marriage in 1917 was to Roy Jacks, Attica.  She later married Forest Haas.  She attended the Baptist Church in Terre Haute.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Esther Moore, Indianapolis;  two brothers, Harry V. King, Attica, and Vern R. King, Lafayette.  Two brothers, Charles and James, and one sister, Anna, proceeded her in death.

Friends will be received at DeSutter Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Saturday.  Funeral services will be in the DeSutter Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.

Funeral services for Lena Faye King, 71, of 3722 Plum St., Terre Haute, who died at St. Anthony Hospital in Terre Haute 4:05 p.m. Thursday, were were held at DeSutter Funeral Home 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Eldon Brown officiating.

Serviving as pallbearers were Harry King Jr., Herbert King, Charles King, Eddie Bill Wolfe, Lloyd Stetler and Donald Yaraborough.

Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with DeSutter Funeral Home charge.
