Danville, Ill.—George H. King, 56, Vermilion, Ohio, formerly of Danville, died at 5:56 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 1989 at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital, Norwalk, Ohio.
He was born Aug. 7, 1932 in Danville, the son of Elsworth and Nellie Stover King. He was married June 29, 1969 in Danville to Freda Klein, who survives.
He worked for Covington Water Department, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Danville VFW.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, George H. II and Michael, both of Westville, Ill., and Kevin, stationed with the U.S. Navy at Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Penny Gilpatrick, Danville; a brother, John, Phoenix, Ariz.; four sisters, Virginia Schaffer, Nashville, Tenn.; Marjorie Bernarte, Veedersburg; Evelyn Nasser, Danville, and Betty Kisner of Wisconsin, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barrick & Son Guardian Chapel with the Rev. John King officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites by Danville VFW.- thanks to S
