Celia VanCleave King, 92, of Attica, died at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday in the Covington Manor Nursing Center. Mrs. King had been a patient in the center since 1983. She was a former resident of Warren County. She lived at Attica for 55 years. She was a former member of the Ladies Aid Society at Independence, Ind. She was co-owner & operator of King's Cafe at Attica for 17 years. She was born Oct 31, 1897 to James and Emma Zetta Lester VanCleave. She was married to James William King Jan 20, 1916 at Covington. He died March 30, 1969. Surviving are a son, Charles King of Rt 2, Independence; a daughter, Mrs. Thurston (Iva Lucille) Minick Rt 3, Mellott; 5 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. A brother and sister are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Chapel at Attica with Rev. Paul Kent officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Friday at Maus Funeral Home.
