Crawfordsville – Beulah Kindell, 89, a resident of Covington Manor and former resident of Crawfordsville died at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday in the United Samaritan Medical Center in Danville, Ill. Mrs. Kindell was born May 6, 1904 in Newtown. She married Hurschell D. Kindell Aug 2, 1904 in Danville Ill (sic – obviously year is wrong) and he died Oct 2, 1981. She attended Wingate HS and was a member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church and order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, William H. Kindell of Covington and a sister, Ruth Blacker of Dayton, Ohio. - kbz
Beulah E. Kindell, 72, passed away Monday, March 3, 1975, at Culver hospital. She had been in ill health for two years. She was born Dec. 7, 1902, at Mellott, the daughter of Clarence and Myra Ferguson. Surviving are two sons, Tom Kindell of Lexington, Ky., and Dick Kindell of Pontiac, Ill.; one brother, Barnes Ferguson of Frankfort, Ind.; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. She had resided in Mellott seven years. She was retired matron of the Tippecanoe County jail, a position she had held 15 years. She was a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ and the Fraternal Order of Police, the South Richland Home Ec Club, Fountain County Chorus, Mellott Book Lovers. She graduated from Mellott High school and attended Madam Blaer’s at Indianapolis. Funeral services were held at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Hunter officiating. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery. – jlr
