KINCADE, Gloria Phelps - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hedrick—Gloria Joan Phelps Kincade, 50, Hedrick, Route 3, Williamsport, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 1989, in United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. She had been hospitalized since Saturday.

  She was born Feb. 27, 1938 in Harvey, Ill., the daughter of Raymond and Maxine Oakley Phelps. She had lived in Warren County most of her life and in Hedrick for the past seven years. She was married July 17, 1953 in Charleston, S. C., to William A. “Bill” Kincade, who survives.

  She had been employed as a waitress at the Beef House in Covington for the past 18 years. She was a member of Hedrick Assembly of God.

  Surviving besides her husband are two sons, David and Jeff, both of West Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Sheryl) Shoaf and Mrs. Phillip (Sandy) Strickler, both of Williamsport; her father, Raymond Phelps, Independence; her mother Mrs. William (Maxine) Bonner, South Bend; a brother, Fred Phelps, Livermore, Calif.; three half brothers, Tim Phelps, Lafayette; Jim Phelps, Independence, and Mark Nard, Kendallville; three half sisters, Linda Crites, Independence; Marsha Teeter, West Point, and Sharon Hurdt, South Bend; four grandchildren, Travis, Trisha and Tabitha Shoaf and Melissa Strickler, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Oakley, Attica.

  Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hedrick Assembly of God with the Rev. Phillip Bilyeu officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery.
