Veedersburg -- Funeral services for William Kiger 59 were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fishero funeral Home with Rev. Harry Hybarger officiating. Interment was made in Bonebrake Cemetery. Mr. Kiger passed away at 9:25 a.m. Sunday in the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill where he had been a patient two weeks. He had been ill with a heart condition for the last six weeks. Mr. Kiger was born Aug 8, 1901 at Marshall ind to John and Ida Delp Kiger. He was married Nov 5, 1927 to Margaret Kolisher who survives. He had lived here 40 years an for the last 20 was a mechanic at the state highway garage. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Doyne Ludlow and son, Russell of Veedersburg; four grandch; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Craig and Laura craig of Veedersburg; a half sister, Mrs. Iola Wake of Terre haute; and two half brothers, Robert Biddle of Indianapolis and William Biddle of Clinton. Mr. Kiger was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Waveland and Veedersburg Masonic Lodge and Low 12 Club of Rockville and Wallace. - kbz

William Kiger, 58, a resident of Veedersburg for 40 years died Sunday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, where he had been a patient two weeks with a heart condition. Born Aug 8, 1901 at Marshall, Ind he was the son of John and Ida Delp Kiger. He was married Nov 5, 1927 to Margaret Kolaiser who survives. Mr. Kiger had been the head mechanic at the Fountain County and State Highway Dept Garages for 20 years. He was a member of the Byron Methodist Church, Veedersburg Masonic Lodge and the Low 12 Clubs at Rockville and Wallace. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Doyne Ludlow of Veedersburg; a son, Russell of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Craig and Mrs. Laura Craig both of Veedersburg; a half sister, Mrs. Iola Wake of Terre Haute; two half brothers, Robert Biddle of Indianapolis and William Biddle of Clinton and four grandchildren. Services were held at 1:30 Wednesday at Fishero Funeral Home. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside. – kbz
