KEYS, Hulda Poole

Veedersburg -- Mrs. Hulda Keys, 78, resident of this place for the past 45 years died at 7 o'clock this evening at her home in Veedersburg. Her death was attributed to a stroke of paralysis and followed a ten days' serious illness. Mrs. Keyes was born near Waynetown Feb 1, 1857. She was married fifty-four years ago to John Keys, who survives. Surviving in addition to the husband are three sons, Ora Keys (Wingate); Alfred Keys (Whitestown) and Clarence Keys (Veedersburg; three daughters, Mrs. Aura Gilfillen of Perios Ill; Mrs. Esther Adkins of Veedersburg and Mrs. Gold Goings of Danville, Ill; a brother, Dexter Poole, of Crawfordsville; 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Fun serv. at 2 o'clock Wed. afternoon at the Veedersburg Christian church in charge of Rev O.W. McGaughey. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
