The body of Alfred Keys, superintendent of Crawfordsville's old Standard Brick Co., plant, who died Tuesday night in the Veterans Hospital at Tucson, Ariz., is to be brought to Waynetown for burial, relatives here were informed Thursday. The body is expected to arrive in Waynetown Saturday. Arrangements for the services and burial rites will be announced later. Mrs. Keys who was 71 was born south of Waynetown. He was a resident of Crawfordsville several years.

Waynetown - Funeral services for Alfred Keys were conducted Monday afternoon at the Servies Funeral Home. He was a former resident of Waynetown and Crawfordsville and died Sept. 29 in U.S. Veterans Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiated and organ selections were played by Mrs. M. B. Snyder. Pallbearers were John Adkins, Harry Goins, Bill Goins, Jim Davis, George Bailey, Roy Davis, Delbert Keys and Frank Biggs. They also assisted with the flowers. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Members of Byron Cox Post of Crawfordsville conducted military rites. Participating were James Vaught, Bob Olive, Charles Crispin, James Clark, Loren Rutledge, commander, and Ray Abbott, bugler. The flag from the casket was presented to Mrs. Keys by Mr. Rutledge. Graveside Masonic rites were held by Waynetown Lodge No. 302 with Robert Songer, W.M., J. M. Riekeberg, S.W., Charles Fay, P.W., Burrell Rosenbaum, deacon; Clyde Bowlus, junior deacon; Walter Runyan, Tyler; Albert Henthorn, secretary, and Harold Bratton, chaplain.
