Newtown Nov 9 – Miss Susan Hiatt Kerr, 84 of Newtown, died suddenly at 11:45 a.m. today of a heart attack at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville.  She was taken there four weeks ago when she suffered a broken hip in a fall.  Born in the Sugar Grove community, she spent her entire life in Tippecanoe and Fountain Counties.  She was a member of the Methodist Church and a life member of the Shawnee Mound missionary society.  Surviving is a half-sister, Mrs. Hattie Storms, Mishawaka.  The body was taken to the Teague Funeral Home in Wingate and will be brought to the home of her brother-in-law, Orlando Hayes with whom she made her home, Monday afternoon.  Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Newtown Methodist Church, Rev. Lowell Morris and Rev.v John Kirkpatrick officiating; burial in Wheeler cemetery.   – kbz
