Charles Keplinger, an invalid for many years died Wed morning Feb 28, 1906 aged 46 years 11 months and 21 days at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lucinda Crane in this city. He was the 6th child of a family of 8 children, 5 boys and three girls all of whom are no dead except two sisters, Mrs. Crane and Mrs. Dora Stafford of Danville, Ill. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Crocket Keplinger and was born and always lived in this city. Following the death of Wick Crane about three years ago, Charles had charge of the store almost until the hour of his death as he was only confined to bed less than a week. He had been a sufferer for many years with consumption and gradually grew worse until death came peacefully last Wednesday morning. The funeral services were held at the residence at 2 p.m. Friday conducted by the Rev. JH Palmer, interment following in Mt. Hope cemetery. –- kbz
