Glenn G. (Cob) Kelley, age 58, died suddenly and unexpectedly at 8:35 a.m Sunday March 13 at his home on Covington Rt 3. Death was attributed to a heart condition. Mr. Kelley was born in Fountain County March 24, 1907, son of John and Edith Nebeker Kelley. On March 2, 1928 he was married to Elizabeth Allen, who survives. He was a life resident of the Covington community. He retired as a farmer in 1965 and was employed by the Fountain County Highway Department. He was a member and past chancellor of Tidal Lodge 36, Knights of Pythias of Covington. He also served as secretary for the lodge several years. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, 5th St, Covington. Surviving in addition to the wife are one sister, Mrs. Rose NIchols of Treasuer Island, Fla and one brother, Pruitte Kelley of Rolling Meadows, Ill. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 16 at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Rev. Glenn Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Covington and Rev. E.E. McConnell, former pastor of the First Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
