Covington -- Lee E. Keller, 87 of 914 Walkely, Danville, Ill died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday June 30, 1970 at St. Eliz. Hospital, Danville where he had been a patient 3 weeks. Born March 10, 1883 in Wallace, he was the son of Andrew J. and Cynthia J. Allen Keller. He married Lula Bell Myers June 7, 1907 who died Feb 9, 1930. He then married Blanche Fields Paxton Feb 25, 1932 who survives. Mr. Keller resided in Veedersburg for 36 years. He was formerly employed at the Veedersburg Brick Co & Veedersburg City Street Dept. He also had been a truck farmer in his early life. He had resided in Danville two years. Other survivors include 3 sons: Versa and Garcie of Covington Rt 2 and Paul of Perrysville; two stepsons, Don and Paul Paxton of Danville; 8 granchildren and 9 greats; 8 step granchildren and 11 step greats. He also was preceded in death by a son, a grandson and four brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m EDT Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home wth Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial in Lower Mound Cem. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening.
