Covington -Howard Wayne Keller, 52 of Rt. 1 Covington died at 2:25 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack while at work in Danville, Ill.  He was born Sept 6, 1913 in Fountain County to Clyde & Margaret Woodrow Keller. He was married to Gladys Breeden Oct 30, 1937. Survivors include his wife; his parents of Yeddo; 3 daughters, Miss Donna Keller at home; Mrs. Sharon Barker, Rt 1, Kingman and Mrs. Karen Norman of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren; 4 brothers Harold of Lafayette; Vernell of Gessie; Charles and James both of Covington, a sister, Mrs. Alice Niccum of Covington and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. He was a member of the Christian Union Church. Services will  be at 2 p.m. Tues at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday. - kbz

Covington – Howard Wayne Keller, 52 of Rt 1, Covington, died of a heart attack while at work in Danville, Ill at 2:25 a.m. Sunday. Bornin Fountain County, he was married to Gladys Breeden in 1937 and was a member of Christian Union Church.  Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Donna, at home; Mrs. Sharon Barker of Rt 1, Kingman and Mrs. Karen Norman of Crawfordsville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Keller of Yeddo; a sister, Mrs. Alice Niccum of Covington and four brothers, Harold of Lafayette, Vernell of Gessie and Charles and James of Covington.  - kbz

Howard Wayne Keller, age 52, resident of Covington Rt. 1, died at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, of a heart attack while at work in Danville, Ill.  He was loading newspapers at the Commercial News loading dock, North Franklin St., when stricken.
The rescue squad was called but efforts to revive him were futile.  He was pronounced dead on arrival at Lake View Memorial Hospital.  Ralph Sargent, Vermilion County, Ill., coroner, investigated and said death was due to a heart attack.
Mr. Keller was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Fulton Twp., Fountain County, the son of Clyde and Margaret Woodrow Keller.  He was married Oct. 30, 1937 to Gladys Breeden, who survives.  He was a life resident of Fountain County and had resided in Covington for the past 20 years.  He served as caretaker of Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, for 10 years and he had resigned because of ill health.  Prior to that he was employed at General Motors in Danville for eight years.  He was a member of the Christian Union Church, southwest of Covington on Rt. 2.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: his parents of Yeddo; three daughters, Miss Donna Keller at home, Mrs. Sharon Barker of Kingman Rt. I and Mrs. Karen Norman of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren; four brothers, Harold of Lafayette, Vernell of Gessie, Charles and James, both of Covington; one sister, Mrs. Basil (Alice) Niccum of Covington, and several. nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington.  The Rev. Glenn Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Covington, officiated and burial was, in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Charles Hudson, Wayne Barker, Loran Srnith, Herschel Keller, Charles Ramey and Carl Toby.
