ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Oka L. Keeling, 79, of 108 W. Washington, died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday (April 5, 1975) in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient two weeks. Born Sept. 1, 1895, in New Richmond, she was the daughter of David Martin and Jane Miller Lucus (Lucas). On Nov. 24, 1914, she was married to James Roe. She later married William Keeling March 1, 1945. He died in November of 1959. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hubert (Anita) Gaylor of Lafayette and Mrs. Richard (Sarah Jane) Wizma of Urbana, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Frances Sanders of Ladoga; a stepson, Glen Keeling of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Truhurt of Lafayette; a brother, Ray Lucus of Ambia; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children and two brothers. Mrs. Keeling had resided in Veedersburg a short time but had resided most of her life in Attica. She had been manager of the Sterling Motel in Veedersburg and was a member of the Attica Christian Church, Dorcus Club, Merry-Go-Round Club and Thursday Afternoon Club. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica, with the Rev. Don Green officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. --waw
