James William Keeling, 74, RFD 3, Veedersburg a farmer most of his life, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Lakeview Hospital, Danville, Illinois. He was taken to the hospital later in the day after having been seriously ill since last November. He had been in failing health for two years. Born January 20, 1879 at Waynetown, Mr. Keeling was the son of Dexter and Sarah Reichard Keeling. He was married twice, first to Verna Butts. His second marriage was to Minnie White, who survives. He was a member of New Liberty Christian Church. Surviving besides the widow are sisters, Mrs. Gertie Sowers, Melott, Mrs. Alta Fritz, High ? NC; Mrs. Merlie Weaver, Wallace and Mrs. Odessa Campbell, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Ora Keeling, Wallace and Clifford Keeling, Waynetown and two sisters, Mrs. Lula Shuler, Indianapolis and Mrs. Elva Clore, Waveland. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Fisher Funeral Home, burial in Wallace Lutheran Cemtery. Rev. Leslie Smith will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
