KEEFER, Ira Charles - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ira Charles Keefer, 71, of 651 E. Fairchild St. retired carpenter-contractor, died at 8 p.m. Saturday (April 11, 1953) in Lake View Hospital where he had been a patient three days. He was in ill health five years. Born Aug. 20, 1881 in Rob Roy, Ind., he was the son of Robert and Ida A. Clawson Keefer. He came to Danville in 1905 and in April 1930, married Brita Schario who preceded him in death in August, 1939. Surviving are one brother, Robert of Danville and a sister, Mrs. Ruby King of Los Angeles, Calif. There were no children. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Mr. Keefer was a member of the Rob Roy Methodist Church and Elks Lodge 332. The body is at the Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete.
