KAY, John - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

As we go to press we learn that a fatal accident occurred at the west end of the I. B. & W. Railroad bridge, at this place (*Covington), on Wednesday evening, wherein John Kay, an old and respected citizen of our town, lost his life. The deceased and three comrades, section hands, were returning to their homes on their hand car, and, it being dark, were run into by a gravel train at the above mentioned point, killing John Kay outright, and seriously wounding another member of the party, whose name we were unable to learn.—Covington Friend - kz
