Hillsboro – Herbert L. Krug, 74, of Hillsboro, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday at his residence. Born May 24, 1906, near Hillsboro, he was a son of John C and Stella Berry Krug.
He was a life resident of the Hillsboro area, a member of First United Brethern (Brethren) Church at Akron, Ohio, and had operated the H&L Poolroom at Hillsboro from 1938 to 1978.
He was married May 29, 1924, to Gladys Ellis who died Jan. 10, 1945. He was then married to Geneva Chrisman on Aug 29, 1945. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Marie) Nickle of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; a son, Don L. of Walton; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Mable) Tague and Mrs. Byrle (Frances) Parks of Crawfordsville; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a son, Billy L. who was killed in action in Italy on May 29 1944.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Inabinett officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday - smc

  Herbert L. Krug of Hillsboro, age 74, died Thursday afternoon, January 8, at his home. He was born near Hillsboro, April 24, 1906, the son of John C. and Stella Berry Krug. May 29, 1924, he married Gladys Ellis, who died January 10, 1945. He later married Geneva Chrisman, who survives. A member of the First United Brethren Church of Akron, Ohio, he had operated the H. and L. Poolroom from 1938 to 1978.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marie Nickle of RR 3, Veedersburg; a son, Don L. of Walton; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Tague and Mrs. Frances Parks, both of Crawfordsville; and five grandchildren. A son, Billy I., was killed in action in Italy, May 29, 1944.
  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Thomas Inabinett officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
