Covington, Ind.—Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Kilbourne, 64, of Akron, Ohio, a former area resident, died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday (May 5, 1974) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been a patient there a day and had been in the area visiting relatives.

  Born Feb. 21, 1910, near Charleston, W. Va., she was the daughter of John and Ica Nicely Wooter. She was married Oct. 3, 1943, at Akron, Ohio, to William H. Kilbourne, who survives.

  Mrs. Kilbourne had resided in Akron for 56 years. She was a past deaconess of the First Baptist Church, president of the Couple’s SS Club, a circle leader, treasurer of the National Story League, president of the Helen Woofter Story League, active in the art department of the Akron Women’s Civic Club, a member of the Delphinium Club Garden Club and Billow Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

  Other survivors include a niece, Mrs. Mary Louise Reighart of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and a nephew, David Wooter of Newark, Ohio.
  She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

  Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Henry Karg officiating.
  The body will then be taken to the Billow Funeral Home in Akron. Friends will be received there from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be there at 1 p.m. Thursday. Dr. Randall Corkern will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery near Akron. -s
