Cloyd Junior Kiger, 71, of Cates died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Sept 26 in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He was born May 26, 1924 in Lyford.  He married Estella Mae Dicks, Aug 13, 1975 in Delphi.  She died March 10, 1993.  Mr. Kiger worked at the Cayuga Brickyard for 22 years.  A veteran of WWII, he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Surviving are five daughters, Linda Mulbury of Covington; Mrs. Bill (Diana) Little, Lucy Goodrum and Emily Licatta, all of Danville Ill and Mrs. Mike (Carolyn) Sams of Tilton, Ill; six sons, Arguel Michael of Covington, Donald and Ricky both of Westville, Ill; Ronald of Cates and Kenneth and Wilbur both of Danville, Ill.  Also three stepdaughters, Marie Herbold of Danville, Ill; Juanita M. Pattengale of Colburn and Ruby Perkins of Nashville; four brothers, Carl Kiger and Clifford Kiger, both of Cates; Clarence Kiger of Yeddo and Ceral Lee Kiger of Rensselaer and a sister, Charlotte Harley of Cates.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga. Services there 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Darrell Middleton officiating. Graveside rites 2 p.m. Friday, Colburn EUB Cemetery, Colburn. Preceded in death by his parents, a son Edward who died November 1970, 1 brother, 1 sister. - kz
