KELLER, R. Carl

R. Carl Keller, 77, Covington, died 6 a.m. Sunday, May 12, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for two days.

  He was born Sept. 4, 1897, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, the son of Robert S. and Emma Lighty Keller. He was married Sept. 8, 1921 to Agnes McCann Craycraft who survives.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Darrell (Lora Gail) Jones, Rt. 1, Waynetown; a step daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Yvonne) Townsend, Rt. 3, Covington; one stepson, Dwight Craycraft, Danville, Ill.; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and one nephew. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

  He was a life resident of Wabash Township and a farmer all his life before his retirement. He moved to Covington from Rt. 3 one week ago. He was a member of Wabash Chapel Church and the Fountain County Farm Bureau.

  Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Joel Hutson and Rev. George F. Beatty officiating. Burial will be at Lower Mound Cemetery. -s
