Carl Keen, 88, of Dana, Route 1, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 1974 at his home. He had been ill two weeks.

Born Feb. 24, 1886, in Indiana, he was the son of William and Sara Jane Pavey Keen. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, four sons, Bill of Veedersburg, John of Terre Haute, Carl Jr. of Marion and Virgil of Chamblee, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Elmo (Louise) Riggen of Dana; a brother, Lester L. of Newport; a sister, Mrs. Iva Mearl Welch of Dana; 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Overpeck Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Nichols officiating. Burial was in Toronto Cemetery at Bono.
